The Speaker's Toolbox: Rhetorical Devices to Mesmerise Your Audience

Some speeches fade the moment they end, while others echo long after.

This fast-paced, interactive workshop explores what makes the difference, focusing on the rhetorical devices that give speeches clarity, rhythm, and impact.
Through examples and playful group challenges, you will learn to recognize rhetorical devices in action and apply them intentionally.

From detective-style analysis of figures of speech to creating short, light-hearted speeches on unexpected topics, the session turns abstract concepts into practical tools you can use immediately.

What will you learn?

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to recognize rhetorical devices in speeches and everyday language, and explore how figures of speech shape rhythm and emphasis. You will gain confidence in using rhetorical techniques in your own speaking, understand what makes speeches memorable, and leave with practical tools to make your future presentations more engaging, persuasive, and impactful.
